Shifters over eighth triplets


Eighth triplets land on a full beat after every 3 notes and on a one every 12 notes.

Shifter over 2 eighth triplets:

On a full count, the shifter over 2 eighth triplets lands again after LCM(2, 3) = 6 notes, i.e. for the first time on the three in the same measure. The shifter lands on a one again after LCM(2, 12) = 12 notes, i.e. for the first time on the one of the following bar.

Shifter over 4 eighth triplets:

On a full count, the shifter over 4 eighth triplets lands again after LCM(4, 3) = 12 notes, , i.e. for the first time on one in the 2nd bar. The shifter lands on a one again after LCM(4, 12) = 12 notes, i.e. for the first time on the one in the 2nd bar.

Shifter over 5 eighth triplets:

On a full count, the shifter over 5 eighth triplets lands again after LCM(5, 3) = 15 notes, i.e. the first time on the two in the second bar. The shifter lands on a one again after LCM(5, 12) = 60 notes, i.e. for the first time on the one in the 6th bar.
