Shifters over quarter triplets


Quarter triplets land on a full beat after every 3 notes and on a one every 6 notes.

Shifter over 2 quarter triplets:

On a full count, the shifter over 2 quarter triplets lands again after every LCM(2, 3) = 6 notes, i.e. for the first time on the one of the following bar. The shifter also lands on a one after every LCM(2, 6) = 6 notes, i.e. for the first time on the one of the following bar.

Shifter over 4 quarter triplets:

On a full count, the shifter over 4 quarter triplets lands again after LCM(4, 3) = 12 notes, i.e. for the first time on the one in the 3rd measure. The shifter also lands on a one again after LCM(4, 6) = 12 notes, i.e. for the first time on the one in the 3rd measure.

Shifter over 5 quarter triplets:


On a full count, the shifter over 5 quarter triplets lands again after LCM(5, 3) = 15 notes, i.e. for the first time on the three in the 3rd measure. The shifter lands on a one again after LCM(5, 6) = 30 notes, i.e. for the first time on the one in the 6th measure.
